Day 1: Dar Es Salaam To Selous

You will be picked at your hotel in Dar Es Salaam/ Zanzibar at 0700 Hours and drive towards the airport for your flight towards Selous departing at 1030 Hours. You will depart Dar Es Salaam arriving at Selous at approximately 1100 Hours. Upon arrival, you will be met and received by your driver-guide and start a short game drive as you head towards your camp. You will arrive at your camp in time for lunch and afternoon rest on the shores of the Rufiji River.

Boating safaris is perhaps the most relaxing way to game view. Sharing the river with families of hippo and crocodiles gives you an opportunity to view birds nesting in the banks, monitor lizards, Colobus Monkeys, and many water birds are just some of the highlights. You will return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight on the banks of the Rufiji River.

Day 2: Selous National Park

This day you will have breakfast and depart early morning for your game drive. You will be on the lookout for Leopards, Lions, and the Wild dog's packs of the Selous. Selous also has its herds of Elephants and Giraffes which are easily seen near the camp. You will return to the camp for lunch and afternoon rest.

In the evening you will have another sunset game drive as you look for the wildlife as the sun gets cooler and the temperatures start to drop. You will return to your camp in the evening as the sun sets across the Rufiji River.

Day 3: Maasai Mara To Nairobi

You will have an early morning game drive and return to your camp for breakfast at the camp. You will check out from the camp and be transferred by your guide from the camp to the Mtemere airstrip for your flight out of Selous and back to Dar Es Salaam. Your flight departs at approximately 1130 Hours starting your journey back to Dar. Upon arrival at Dar, you will be transferred to your hotel in Dar Es Salaam or catch your international flight out of Dar Es Salaam onwards.
